VFR1200F was created in the traditions of their predecessors series VFR, connecting the possibilities of sports motorcycles on the basis of the newest technologies. However, this bike is entirely new: a flawless interpretation of the last road and racing cars, concept, based on the incarnation of the desires of the customers and the introduction of advanced technologies.

In pursuit of the best characteristics of controllability and reactions, in VFR1200F managed to introduce the latest technology in the field of racing motorcycles, but failed to create a universal machine for most drivers.

The concept of development

On the motorcycle worked as a truly international team of designers, including three representatives from Japan, one from America and one in Europe. Under the leadership of very experienced Kshi-Sana (CBR1100XX Blackbird) and under the strict supervision of Hasegawa-Sana, design team VFR1200F differed not only in culture, but also to unite the generations. The collective goal, which they followed, was the creation of a sports bike with characteristics much опередившими his time. To form a correct way of thinking, designers presented, as if they woke up fine morning and impulsively decided to drive 300 miles without voltage overcoming large portions of the highway, and then passing the winding roads of the canyons, stopped to enjoy lunch in a beautiful area before returning home.
Developers VFR1200F began to outline their ideas in a remote hotel in Rome. These sketches bought a lot of forms and opened all possibilities, but instead, to work out the outline and shape the final design, the team went back to Tokyo with his individual drawings.

In the process of creating VFR1200F designers and engineers worked in parallel, discussing and improving their decisions and implementing them in the clay models of the future of the motorcycle. European designer Teofilo Plaza (Teofilo Plaza) called these six months the work of one of the most intense and fruitful periods of his life.
